BIOGRAPHY & INTRODUCTION
Sara obtained her Juris Doctor from Windsor Law in 2020 and was called to the bar in 2021. During her time at Windsor Law, Sara competed in both the Gale Gup and Arnup Cup moots, and worked as both a Research and Teaching Assistant for David Tanovich, a leading Canadian criminal law scholar.
After law school, Sara completed her articling term and worked as an associate at one of Toronto’s leading criminal defence firms. Following her articles, Sara completed a Judicial Clerkship at the Court of Appeal for Ontario where she clerked for some of the top criminal law jurists in the province.
Sara is also the founder and primary author of Little Legal Summaries, an award-winning blog providing comprehensive summaries of leading criminal appellate decisions from the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada: https://littlelegal.ca.
Sara’s practice focuses exclusively on criminal and regulatory matters at both the trial and appellate level. She has represented clients facing a wide range of charges before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal for Ontario.
Sara is a member of the Toronto Lawyer’s Association and the Criminal Lawyers’ Association. She is currently serving a term on the CLA’s Board of Directors as Recent Call Director for Toronto.
